Panteón Rococó
Panteón Rococó is a long-running ska band from Mexico City known for its politically charged, festive sound. They've built a devoted following at home and abroad.
Origins
Founded in Mexico City in 1995, the band took its name from a play by Mexican playwright Hugo Argüelles and quickly built a grassroots following.
The sound
Their music is ska blended with Latin rhythms and rock, energetic and brass-driven, often carrying social and political messages.
Legacy
Despite limited mainstream promotion, the band sold strongly and toured Europe—especially Germany—regularly, becoming a fixture of the Latin ska scene.
