Marco Antonio Solís is a Mexican singer, songwriter and producer celebrated for his romantic ballads. He first rose to fame as the voice and songwriter of Los Bukis before building a major solo career.

Orígenes

Born and raised in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, he began performing at the age of six alongside his cousin Joel as Los Hermanitos Solís. In 1975 he co-founded Los Bukis, serving as lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist for nearly two decades.

His style is anchored in the balada romántica, marked by heartfelt lyrics and his distinctive, emotive voice. As both performer and songwriter, he shaped the romantic feel that defines much of his work.

Legado

After Los Bukis split, Solís launched a successful solo career, releasing his debut solo album En Pleno Vuelo in 1996. His songwriting and voice have made him one of the most influential figures in Mexican romantic music.
